I’m well on the path to becoming an eccentric, but my southern sensibilities won’t let me go all the way. I love the Red Sox, the Rockettes and Rumi. I think gum-chewing in public and talking at the movies should be misdemeanors. I cry more often at happy than sad and I miss my parents every day. I’m a cynical optimist who loves Jesus and dolphins. You can’t say you weren’t warned.
Addison,
I just finished reading your piece on turning 60 and loved it! (Just so you know, I am about to turn 63 and all is going quite well…)
In fact, I have loved all of your musings.
Thanks for sharing.
